What Is A Turle Knot Fishing?

 Ever heard of fishing with a turle knot? Even if you do not fish, the name itself sounds weird and funny (Is that what they call those turles?). But… wait. Is it really as amusing as it seems?



Actually, turle knot is a method of tying two lines together for fishing purposes. It is an alternative to complex and fancy knots when the primary line is in danger of breaking.

Turle knot is not complicated, but you need to take care when tying it because it could bind the main fishing line making it difficult for you to release it later. When done properly, however, this knot can be used for a variety of applications and will surely last long.

There are several benefits of fishing with a turle knot. I have listed down some of them below:

1. The knot is extremely easy to tie.

2. It has a symmetrical shape that allows the fishing line to be perfectly balanced in strength.

3. The knot is secure enough since it is composed of 2 interlocking overhand knots.
